Velvet is the WiFi sharing economy, changing how the world connects. The service connects those in need of WiFi with those who have WiFi to spare, providing an inexpensive internet service while putting extra cash in the pockets of sellers. In preparation for the Velvet launch, I was commissioned to design the branding, an animated video, a number of illustrated elements and various print and web-based layout designs. The identity created for Velvet is playful, futuristic, clean and bold – designed to appeal to both the tech-savvy and everyday novice alike.
